E-mail has become a critical and indispensable tool for workers worldwide. However, with its benefits, e-mail presents a range of challenges and potential pitfalls which can be costly to firms and individuals alike. Too many professionals have been caught out by incorrect usage of e-mail, resulting in embarrassment to themselves and their firm, dismissals and even legal action. The E-mail@risk course is comprised of five modules which are outlined below:

  • Introduction presents an overview of e-mail usage, outlining the potential hazards and highlighting the importance of correct usage.
  • Business@risk offers a look at the regulations, both internal and external, that govern our use of e-mail. It also examines the very real issue of security.
  • Reputation@risk explores common errors made by e-mail users and the potential fallout that can result.
  • Career@risk investigates ways in which you can help protect your and the firm's reputation by applying simple guidelines for the avoidance of costly e-mail mistakes.
  • Efficiency@risk provides rules, hints and tips for raising efficiency and lowering risk in the use of e-mail.
